A (somewhat) honest look at what it's like to be a single, Christian woman in her mid 30s in Sydney who wants to remain true to the life that God has planned for her but doesn't want to let go of her dream of being in a relationship again and eventually being a wife and mother

-251 A Bachelor Update

Yep. I realise it's been a while.

And there is a reason for that.

I have no news.

Nup.

None.

Bachelor 4 turned out to be barely interested. We are facebook "friends" but despite several opportunities to meet me in person he hasn't chosen to buy tickets to gigs in my state. So we comment on various things on each other's pages every now and then but that's about it.

Next.

Well there is no next.

I'm taking a hiatus from the "mess with my self esteem" that is online dating. Every now and then I'll get a little bored and check in but until I can completely get my outside matching my personality I'm going to continue attracting the wrong kind of guys. And not attracting the kind of guys that I am attracted to.

Well that's how I feel today anyway. I could be back logging in again next week but it's just been a massive waste of time so far.

So that's the Bachelor Update. *sigh*

Either you are nodding your head along with me totally getting where I am at or you are feeling much better about your own pursuits. Well done you if it's the latter.

Still praying for those on The Faith Files anyone else want their name on this list for specific, daily prayer? Anyone got anything good to share or update? :)

  1. I hate the whole online dating thing, but what's a girl supposed to do this day in age, anyways? I'm sorry Bachelor #4 didn't work out. So...on Facebook the gay guy I recently wrote about and I are friends. And I asked him if he wanted to get together and watch a movie and he replied, Sure, I'll just have to check my schedule. That was over a week ago. Haven't heard back from him...I'm starting to wonder if he's read my blog...crap.

  2. Thanks Shannon. Meh, Bachelor #4 was an iffy prospect anyway. He was a bass player. Tired of them. They need pushing to do almost anything. Over that :P

So even gay guy friends are ridiculous too? If he did read your blog surely he would be flattered about your post yeah ? Or are you thinking more along your crazy, fun posts in general? 'cause if it's the latter then it's his loss.

  3. Miss365, I can totally understand your frustrations with online dating. I'm on two sites right now (eHarmony being one of them) and neither venue is turning up anything. It is BEYOND irritating... especially when men who have obviously NOT taken the time to read my profile attempt to contact me. Needless to say, I am also not attracting the type of guys I'm attracted to, but I think that's largely due to the fact that many of them don't want to or simply CAN'T read!

  4. Argh...my msg didn't post!!
Don't give up on the internet dating, keep it going on in the background while you try other ways. You never know!! Good luck with your search!

    Stopping by from FTLOB!
